Hot Rolled Steel

Hot rolling is a metalworking technique that takes place above the recrystallization temperature of the metal being rolled. For steel, this temperature is usually at least 1700 degrees Fahrenheit (926 degrees Celsius), but it can vary depending on the specific alloy and other variables. In the hot rolling process, steel ingots or billets are heated and then moved through a series of rollers to decrease their thickness and mold them into different forms like sheets, strips, or bars.
